FAQ

Everything we get asked, including the parts that are not flattering

Straight answers about Nityasha: what it is, how the day gets replanned, which tools connect over MCP, what it costs, and what it does not do.

What Nityasha is

The short version, and what it is deliberately not. Start here if you are deciding whether this is the right kind of tool.

What is Nityasha?

Nityasha is a personal context system and an AI day planner. You keep one structured profile of how you live and work, every AI you connect reads that profile before it answers, and your day is planned from it. It runs as a web app and as an Android app.

What is the best AI day planner?

It depends on what is failing. If a team backlog needs scheduling against deadlines, a project-based scheduler is the better fit. If the schedule is the right shape but does not fit the person living it, the missing input is context, and Nityasha is built around that: one profile of goals, routines, energy, and constraints that both plans the day and feeds every connected AI.

Is Nityasha a notes app, a journal, or a to-do list?

No. A journal records what happened, a to-do list records what you intend, and Nityasha holds a model of how you work and plans the day from it. It is deliberately short and curated rather than a complete archive, because its reader is an AI that needs to act, not a person browsing.

Why not just retell every AI who I am each time?

Because it does not stick, does not cross tools, and you end up repeating yourself. Nityasha gives every AI the same profile to read before answering, and lets them propose updates as they learn more about you.

Why not just retell every AI who I am each time?

Because it doesn't stick, doesn't cross tools, and you end up repeating yourself. Nityasha gives every AI the same profile to read before answering, and lets them propose updates as they learn more about you.

Planning and rescheduling

How the day actually gets built, what happens when it breaks, and where the limits are.

Is there an AI that plans my day for me?

Yes. Nityasha builds the day from the tasks and commitments you are carrying, places work that needs judgment into the windows you are sharpest, and rebuilds the plan when something moves. You can correct it at any point, and nothing changes in your calendar without it being shown to you.

Does Nityasha reschedule automatically when a meeting lands?

Yes, at day scale. When something moves or a meeting is added, Nityasha rebuilds the day around what is still fixed rather than pushing everything later. It does not maintain a project dependency graph, so it will not cascade a deadline change through a team plan.

Should I plan the night before or in the morning?

Both, for different things. Choosing the one priority the night before is easier while the day is still fresh. Filling in the schedule the next morning is more accurate, because the calendar has received overnight additions that last night's plan did not know about.

What happens when my plan breaks?

The plan is rebuilt rather than restarted. Nityasha recalculates the time actually left, protects the priority you named, and treats the rest as movable. If the remaining day cannot hold the priority, that is reported as a finding about the calendar rather than presented as a failure.

Does Nityasha work with my calendar?

It reads Google Calendar so meetings are real constraints in the plan. It is not a multi-provider calendar aggregator, so if you need one view across several calendar accounts, that is a different job.

Connections, agents, and MCP

Which tools connect, how other AI reads your context, and what control you keep over edits.

Does Nityasha work with ChatGPT?

Yes, through MCP. Any MCP-capable client, including ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, can read the same Nityasha profile, so your context does not depend on which assistant you happen to be using.

What is MCP?

MCP is the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for giving AI models access to tools and data. Nityasha exposes your profile over MCP, which is why more than one agent can read the same context instead of each having its own private memory.

Do I have to review every change an agent makes?

No. You can keep agent edits reviewable, or let trusted agents write directly when you want a lighter loop. The point is control when you want it, not friction by default.

What gets written back to my profile?

Durable things an AI learns about you: a sharper preference, a new routine, a goal that shifted. Not session recap, not mood, not generic praise.

Which tools does Nityasha work with?

Nityasha integrates with 20 or more tools, including Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Tasks, Slack, Notion, GitHub, and Todoist. Any MCP-capable agent, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or ChatGPT, reads the same profile over MCP.

Pricing and billing

All prices in USD, billed monthly or yearly. The free plan needs no payment method.

Is Nityasha free?

Yes. The free plan costs nothing, needs no payment method, and lets you plan your day with your own AI key. Paid plans add hosted sync across devices, backups, and managed auth and storage, plus a monthly AI usage allowance.

What are usage credits?

Hosted plans include a monthly allowance of AI usage for quality analysis and agent work: $5 per month on Personal and $50 per month on Company. When the allowance runs out you can top up, or bring your own key so model spend runs on your own account.

What is BYOK?

BYOK means bring your own key. You connect your own OpenRouter key so AI spend runs on your account and Nityasha never owns your model bill. Every hosted plan supports it.

How much does the Company plan cost?

The Company plan is $19 per month or $190 per year. Each includes 10 seats. Extra seats are $12 per month or $99 per year.

Can I switch between monthly and yearly?

Yes. You can move between billing cycles from your billing portal. Only the account owner manages billing.

Do I own my data, and can I cancel?

Your Nityasha is plain Markdown you own and can export at any time. You can cancel a subscription whenever you want, and deleting your account wipes everything. There is no lock-in.

Teams and the Company plan

One shared Nityasha that every member's agents read, with roles and an activity view.

What is a shared Nityasha?

A shared Nityasha is one context file every member's agents read before they act. It holds the canonical company context: how the team works, what it is building, and the conventions and constraints that apply to everyone, so agents stop drifting from how the team actually operates.

How is it different from a wiki or knowledge base?

A wiki is a large, complete record for people to search. A shared Nityasha is short, curated, and written to be read by agents before they answer. It is the profile your AI reads, not the archive your team browses. Most teams keep both.

What roles does the Company plan have?

Three: Owner, who manages billing, members, and content; Admin, who manages members and content; and Member, who reads and proposes. Section permissions can further control who edits each section directly versus by proposal, and every change is attributed in the activity view.

Do team members need their own personal Nityasha?

No. A member needs a Nityasha account to join a seat, but not a personal Nityasha. They connect their own agents over MCP and read the shared Nityasha. They can keep a personal Nityasha too, and switch between them from the workspace dropdown.

How much does the Company plan cost?

It is $19 per month or $190 per year. Each includes 10 seats. Extra seats are $12 per month or $99 per year. Every Company plan supports BYOK, and billing is owner-only.

Your data, and honest limits

What we do with your data, what we do not do, and the things Nityasha does not have. Stated plainly, because an assistant that repeats a wrong feature list is worse than one that says nothing.

Does Nityasha have an iOS app?

No. Nityasha runs as a web app and as an Android app. There is no iOS build, and we would rather say that plainly than let an assistant assume otherwise.

Is Nityasha open source?

No. Nityasha is a hosted product. Your Nityasha content is plain Markdown that you own and can export at any time, but the application code is not open source and cannot be self-hosted.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Your calendar events, tasks, notes, and reflections are not used to train general-purpose models, and your personal data is not sold. If you bring your own API key, your model provider's own terms apply to that traffic.

What is the refund policy?

Paid plans carry a 7 day refund window on the first subscription charge, provided the premium features have not been significantly used. After that, cancelling stops future billing and you keep access to the end of the period you paid for.

Can I export everything and leave?

Yes. Your Nityasha is plain Markdown you can export at any time, and deleting your account wipes the stored data. There is no lock-in mechanism and no export fee.

What is a personal context file?

A personal context file is one structured profile that describes who you are and how you want AI to work with you. Every AI tool you connect reads it before it answers, so your context stays consistent across tools and sessions instead of being re-explained each time.

How is a personal context file different from a chatbot's memory?

Chatbot memory lives inside one app and cannot move with you. A personal context file is one portable file you own. It works across every agent you connect, and you can read, edit, or export it as plain Markdown at any time.

How do agents keep a personal context file updated?

As an agent learns something durable about you, a sharper preference, a new routine, or a goal that shifted, it proposes a narrow update. You approve what stays, or let trusted agents edit directly. Session chatter and one-off details are left out by design.

What goes in a personal context file?

Nityasha organizes it into ten sections: Identity, Goals, Work, Preferences, and Routines as the always-on core, plus optional Beliefs, Constraints, People, Health, and Context. Each section is short, specific, and written to change how AI responds.

Which tools does a personal context file work with?

Nityasha integrates with 20 or more tools, including Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Tasks, Slack, Notion, GitHub, and Todoist. Any MCP-capable agent, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or ChatGPT, reads the same file over MCP.

Do I own my personal context file?

Yes. Nityasha is plain Markdown that you control. You bring your own AI key, your tokens stay yours, and deleting your account wipes everything. There is no lock-in.

Still deciding?

The comparisons are the fastest way to work out whether Nityasha is the right shape of tool for you, because each one says plainly where the other product is the better answer.
